Product Overview

10 mm Giant Magnetoresistive Sensor

MAIN FEATURES

• Stainless steel case
• Splash resistant to oil and fuel
• 12 V nominal voltage
• 10,000 Hz max detectable frequency

DESCRIPTION

The sensor detects the rotational speed of ferrous gear wheels and reference marks. It consists of a
magnetoresistive sensor element, a signal-conditioning integrated circuit with bipolar technology and a magnetized SmCo magnet. In comparison with a Hall effect sensor, this model provides better performance in terms of high signal to noise ratio. The frequency of the digital voltage output signal is proportional to the target wheel’s reference marks. Conceived especially for gear shift management, it
allows the detection of the position of the dog teeth on the main shaft and lay shaft. It is able to detect any movement down to 0 Hz. A dual version with two signals in quadrature and different case shapes is available on request. The Mono Zero Speed Sensor is also available in a more compact, black anodized aluminum case (14 mm height, with cable rotated by 180°), particularly suitable for motorbike applications.

Dimensions in millimetres.

Other lengths available on request. During operation, the sensor should be kept away from magnetic fields and ferromagnetic materials.
Current draw for single channel.
