DESCRIPTION
VCU-480 Vehicle Control Unit is a powerful and complete concentrated system capable of managing high performance Hybrid vehicles. It incorporates a powerful data acquisition unit tailored to racing applications, which require high-resolution data, high bandwidth and a large number of channels. The unit can drive a thermal engine up to 8 cylinder with a GDI injection, a large number of additional loads through H-Bridge and Half-Bridge. HalfBridge can manage loads up to 48 V. The communications
capability is assured by 8 CAN lines, 1 100 Mbit/s Ethernet line for data transfer to other units and 1Gbit/s Ethernet line for fast data download. The logic architecture consists of a powerful Quad-core automotive processor for data logging, telemetry and communication, calculation, control and actuation are managed by a high performance DualCore microcontroller for a total computation power of over 2,500 Dhrystone MIPS. VCU-480 is equipped with a variety of analogue inputs including single-ended, temperatures and differential together with digital inputs for lap trigger, VRS/Hall and Hall/Rate inputs.
