DESCRIPTION

The FOX-442 is the latest evolution of Marelli’s Power Distribution Units (PDU). Compared to the previous generation of PDUs, it introduces the use of freewheeling diodes. Considerably reduced in weight and size, the unit is provided with 6 Half-bridge Outputs that can be used to drive our series of Electric Actuators (EGA and ESA) or brushless pumps. It is currently been used as a main power distribution unit in different vehicles submitted to high levels of vibration and mechanical shocks. The unit monitors in real time the current’s level and the status of all the 42 outputs. This information is sent via CAN line and used for strategies, diagnose and maintenance operations. With its enlarged cooling radiator surface it is suitable for heavy duty conditions with limited possibility of heat dissipation caused by high temperature and frequently or permanently under high current load. This power unit works perfectly in combination with the SPWRC2 switch panel (see the Auxiliary Modules section).
