DESCRIPTION
This unit is an evolution of the SRA series and controls the entire generation of GDI engines using a software development process based on MATLAB® and Simulink®. The SRG-141 is able to manage engine with 3 or 4 cilinders. Via a Marelli custom driver the unit can drive up to 4 ignition coils (also logic command coils – SW option), 4 Peak & Hold GDI injectors and a High-Pressure Pump with 8 A peak current and 5 A hold current. The logic core is based on a high performance PowerPC microcontroller and a Field Programmable Gate Array for diagnostic purposes. The data logger and communication processor are managed by an ARM 32 bit Cortex with an internal flash disk of up to 1 GByte in capacity. Communication with other units, such as dashboards and loggers or with the PC-based configuration tool, is via 3 CAN lines, a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet line and a full-speed USB 2.0. It provides analogue input for single-ended, temperature and knock sensors and an interface for a switching lambda sensor. Internally it is present a barometric pressure sensor. The unit also provides a Half-Bridge output stage for use with compatible “Drive by Wire” actuators. Up to 10 configurable speed sensor inputs (Inductive, Rate or Hall), provide full flexibility of configuration for engine-angle detection and other frequency inputs, such as wheel or shaft speed
