DESCRIPTION
The FBO is a new generation dashboard for use either as a stand-alone display unit or as an integral part of a complete data acquisition and monitoring system for the demanding motorsport environment. While externally it looks like a simple high-resolution color screen, the FBO is actually equipped with many features that render it a full extension hub for both drivers and teams. The device in fact combines an attractive graphic layout with high-level computational capabilities. The high-resolution TFT color display – available in 6.5” and 8.8” screen sizes – shows extensive information (such as bar graphs, gear number, speed, lap time, best lap, lap number…etc.), customizable through a specific design tool. Provided with an internal 32 GByte data logger, it is part of the Marelli data acquisition and telemetry system and communicates over a CAN network with a range of additional sensor nodes for the receiving, displaying and logging of data. The USB port can be enabled to record on a removable remote USB
flash disk. On board Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules (with internal antennas) allow a large variety of connections such as PC/tablet link for setup and data analysis. A 6-degree IMU platform and GPS module are included. A precise Lap-Trigger functionality based on the GPS module is available on request. The FBO also features video input for video acquisition from an analog camera, an input serial
link to acquire High Definition video data stream and a High Definition video output to drive a FBO6 external monitor.
